Well, I have a custom Riv with 80mm drop and 177,5mm cranks converted to 650B (38mm tires). No problems. I use DiaCompe 750 brakes though, to get enough reach. Rambouillet has a drop of 77mm and is a common conversion project.

If you went to 650B x 42, you would most likely find it objectionably easy to scrape your pedals when leaning. If you went to 650Bx50, you could correct the pedal scrape issue, but your frame doesn't have clearances for that kind of tire. Furthermore, you already have one of the longest reach brakesets on your bike and you'd need an additional 19mm of reach. Rivendells that come stock with 700xskinny have a lot less BB drop, and are pretty good 650B candidates. Rambouillet, Road Standard, etc. 700c Atlantis, 700c Hilsen, 700c Bombadil, 700c Hunqapillar, all those have a ton of drop, and for that reason are sub-optimal for 650B. - visa citerad text - -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
