Yep, I forgot to precede my declarative statement with an appropriate: In My Opinion. It is my opinion that the 700c bikes with the most BB drop of any 700c bikes are not-as-good 650B candidates as 700c bikes with less drop. Many people convert those bikes anyway and many of those people report being perfectly content with it. Some complain about pedal strike (not all). Some just love the elimination of toe-clip overlap. Some complain about dealing with brake reach issues (not all).
