Here's my Le Tour mixte, parked at the farmers market yesterday. I would
not call it a pseudo mixte. As long as it has the extra seat stays, it
would still qualify as "dual" in terms of tubing. There have been a number
of threads in various bike forums regarding what constitutes a "proper"
mixte. I would say there are single top tube and twin, or parallel top tube
mixtes, but they all must have the dual seat stay configuration. In any
case, I like to think of the first translation, which is generally mixed,
as in co-ed, or unisex.

I would classify the Betty/Yyves, Wilbury, Cheviot, as perfectly non-pseudo
mixtes. The Clementine, of course, is definitively not a mixte.
