I have built six wheelsets using the Ghisallo wooden rims, and they've all stayed quite true. (Well, the three I still have access to have, and I haven't gotten any complaints from the owners of the others.) The rims are less pliable laterally than aluminum rims, so maybe that's the explanation. Anyway, I haven't had any trouble. But I don't think any of those wheelsets has more than a thousand miles on them.

As much money as bags cost these days, they damn well ought to match. Not so sure about wooden rims, though.
