I cannot answer for MetinUtz, but I know that BQ did roll tests of various
tires. The slowest tire was 20% slower than the fastest tire tested.
Marathons were not tested.

So if you rode the fastest tested tire on a 600k, you could, in theory,
finish 20% faster than if you were on the slowest of the tested tires.
That would save you, in theory, hours. You would, in theory, finish 20%
faster.

Now, my average speeds don't seem to be much faster on GB or Compass tires
than I was on my Marathons, that I can tell, I think.
Perhaps only the ultra fit can benefit from these types of performance
tires.

I will say that the Compass and GB tires seem to feel like they keep their
momentum longer, and especially when starting uphill than the Marathons did.
But again, I don't see really any significant differences in average speeds
between the GB/Marathon/Compass tires.

The GB/Compass tires do seem to corner much better, and seems like I cruise
1 cog higher on the cassette with the GB/Compass tires. But again, average
speeds on the cyclometer don't seem to be significantly different.
