Switching to staches or Albas is easy. Doing drops is harder because you have to be careful to get the hoods lined up right on if you want them equal for hoods hand positioning. Since weight bearing hand positioning is dictated solely by the handlebar on Albas and staches (ie- you don't ride with your hands and weight on the hoods or brake levers on Albas or staches) you don't have to be as neurotic about getting them right... if you even want them right. PLus you can just let the cables lay freely on Albas without having to pin them to the bars.
