There are quills with detachable face but they are not the style presented here. They are usually welded with a zero rise or more. I have a couple of them and like them, but I am one who places the appearance of a stem lowest priority, with fit and function the highest. If Nitto or anyone made tall and long (130mm) forged stems with a plus rise and detachable face I'd be over the moon! Quill refinement was left in the dust with threadless, so it seems, but it is by no means an absolute.
