Last weekend I got my nerve up and took a drill and tap to the bottom of
the brake bridge on my AHH.
So now my bridge has a threaded hole in it for fender mounting.
Best I can tell the bottom of the square in the middle of the bridge is
about as thick as a thin nut. So I think there are enough threads there to
do the job. Sadly my local hardware store doesn't stock stainless button
head m5 bolts as short as I want so I had to cut some of one off so it
wouldn't interfere with the brake mounting. I will probably shorten the
bolt a bit more and move the fender closer to the bridge but for the moment
the fender is on there and seems pretty good.
So yay.
