Thanks, Tom. I'm definitely past the 1 year mark of the crash warranty, 
which is why I was hoping for a magic unicorn and rainbow answer here. 
Grin. Looks like I'll be using the pedals that came with my daughter's 
Clementines for a wee while (they have moccasin friendly pedals on 
instead).
