Another option:

LPS 3 <http://www.lpslabs.com/product-details/612> is commonly used in 
marine environments. It is available in Canada, at your local marina or 
possibly at your local hardware store. I got a spray can (close to a 
lifetime supply for me) at Ace Hardware. It feels pretty similar to the 
cosmoline+ carrier Framesaver.
