Mine was just creaking is I light to moderately rested weight on the ends of the bars while sitting. Not a major problem, for sure. But darn was it getting under my skin. I found the old 25.4 quill I had in the same reach (shorter quill, but hey, I was nearly slamming the Boscos anyway...) Got it on last night and remembered to give the inside of the clamp a good coat of grease before tightening it all down. Seems OK so far, but as always, I'm sure time will tell.
