Read Hiroshi's complete, well- conceived and well-articulated instructions on the Jitensha site. It didn't take me more than 40 minutes to install my Honjos, tho' I'd cut my teeth on a pair of Berthouds a couple of years earlier.
Basically: hold up to frame, mark, drill, bolt. It helps a huge amount to use a workstand that allows you to flip the frame upside down.
