Christopher, I actually did that as well! Though with the shimano pods. I
had to file that little washer thing a bit, but my wife's Cross Check now
has the most gorgeous bar end shifters ever. i'm actually thinking of
buying new 10 spd bar ends and putting them on her bike, then stealing the
ones like you have for myself, mwahaha!
