I and 3 friends rode the 100-mile section from Boonville to Hermann this past June. The temp was hovering around 90 each afternoon and it was humid, but the trail was very well maintained with a lot of tree cover. Lots of old bridges and some tunnels, caves, rock formations, and the historic town of Hermann is a fun place to end with its breweries and wineries. It was a beautiful, fun ride and we are already planning to do it again next year. We roomed in Jefferson City and Hermann, but now that we know what to expect, we may camp and try to do it earlier or later in the year when the temp is a little more tolerable.
