I did 21 of the 116 miles of the Detour de Connecticut on my Custom with my nine year old on Saturday. On Sunday, I drove to New Hampshire to pick-up my new project "beater bike"---a 1970s Peugeot PX50. I took the PX for a 1.5 hour spin and quickly missed the more generous gearing of my Homer. People were tougher back then I guess. Afterwards, I got in another 1.5 on my Custom with my boys. Solid weekend. I'm grateful for sure.
