The stem got stuck on my Hilsen a few years ago (I'm a super heavy sweater and
I didn't ever adjust the stem for a couple of years) and I tried everything in
the world. PB Blaster, WD40, dry ice (read it somewhere) and if I recall
correctly, even lye (read it on another thread, I think. I never would have
thought of it without reading it, and I'd never do it again, although it didn't
harm anything.) I finally talked to Waterford and sent them the fork. I had it
back on the bike in less than a week. Now I try to remember to at least loosen
and move the stem once in a while to avoid a repeat.
