I have fenders on my Simpleone. I'm able to remove/reinstall the wheel while the tire is not inflated. It just squeezes past the fender when I need to fix a flap, which is really the only time I remove the wheel. I've been running this set up with a pretty decent, traditional fender arch for the past several years with no issues.
