As the cold weather (slowly) approaches, I'm thinking of investing in a
quality wool jersey, hopefully one that's made from a denser, thicker
fabric, but comfortable without a base layer. These could well be mutually
exclusive attributes, but maybe there's some new magic out there in the
wonderful world of wool? Does anyone have first-hand experience with
Woolpower
<https://www.rivbike.com/collections/clothing/products/woolpower-green-quarter-zip>

or DeVold
<https://www.rivbike.com/collections/clothing/products/devold-wool-ls-zip-top-mens-blue>

that Riv sells? How do they feel compared with, say, Wabi Woolens
<http://www.wabiwoolens.com/winter-weight-jerseys/winter-weight-v.3-limited/>
(their Winter Weight Jerseys), and are any of them wearable without a base
layer?

TIA!
