Hi Patrick,

Well that's a good question. My ECR is newer with 1 x 11 Shimano XT everything
including hydraulic disc brakes. It handles wider tires and has fork crown
braze on's for various racks like the Surly 24 pack rack. The only negative the
ECR has (IMO) are the horizontal drop outs but I'm getting used to them. With
that said, they are both so similar and I just don't need overlap or more bikes
in my garage than I need. It's the last of my heard to go even though I've been
reluctant to sell. I'm just keeping my ECR for MTN riding, store shopping,
touring and rainy days. The other bike I'm keeping is my Ritchey Ti Cross
Breakaway which pretty much does everything else for me. My goal has always
been to have one bike that does everything for me. I've been able to accomplish
my goal with 2 bikes which isn't bad :)

Cheers!
