It was great re-reading this thread and seeing everyone's advice and ideas for the OP. My daughter just turned two and I gave her a Strider bike for Christmas. She immediately hopped on and started moving. That lasted about 15 seconds. She loves her trailer and will (literally) ride for hours with no complaint, so I guess I just have to trust the process!
As far as riding after having a child goes, I've ridden more in the two years we've had her than the two years prior. It's definitely doable. The rides just look a bit differently.
