Depending on temps your dealing with there are a number of alternatives, all of them some combination of gloves and overmits. Look for chopper mitts, a leather overmitt. Those combined with your riding gloves may do you pretty well. If you need more warmth, just wear wool gloves instead of your riding gloves.
