During the frozen Winter months in this part of the country I like to clean 
and maintain my bikes, making any upgrades or replacements as necessary. 
 One thing I always run into is a large patch of reddish-brown rust, 
oxidization, or whatever you want to call whatever it is that happens to 
brass my a bell.  I polish it out (which takes quite a white because it's 
quite thick) until it looks pretty much normal again using Happish 
Simichrome polish.  By the end of the riding season this year it'll be back 
again.  Just that one patch.

I understand that there's something you can apply to brass to "seal" it so 
this corrosion doesn't happen.  Anyone on here know anything about that?
