For the most accurate results on spoke length you best measure the rim ERD and hub flange offsets the way the spoke calculator is designed to do. Not all of them are set up the same. The calculator I use most often is Roger Musson's Wheelpro and the instructions where to measure are on his site. Additionally, the nominal ERD listed with the rim specs is often somewhat different than those of the specific rim depending on the state of the mold when the rim was made. Best to measure the actual rim you plan on using.
