My brother fell in love with riding again shortly after moving to the Santa 
Clara area, and in 2006 the copy of Roads to Ride South I gave him was his main 
guide. He got a LOT of mileage out of it both literally and figuratively. It 
taught him all the best places between San Mateo and Saratoga. Great book, and 
still very useful now. I use it too (and the North one.)
