I saw my first Appaloosa last weekend. I crashed my Fargo at mile 75, so I was standing at the finish line checking out bikes and congratulating friends as they finished the 207 mile race. As a group of riders passed through, I noticed the unusual fork crown on a very dirty lugged steel bike; I didn't recognize the bike and it was too dirty to read the decal on the head tube. At first I thought it was a custom built frame, but the lugs screamed Rivendell. This was the only Riv that I saw, but there are usually a few that ride some of the shorter DK routes.
My Fargo frame is twisted and bent, so I am going to start building my new Ti Fargo sooner than I had anticipated. I'm just glad that I wasn't riding the Atlantis when I crashed. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
