Thanks for the feedback! So the bike came with the Riv Silver crank. Compared to the vintage cottered cranks I've wrestled with, it looks like the Silver will be a piece of cake!

Your experience reinforces my sense that changing to a triple will be a win for me and my Clem. @Drew, I wondered about the chain size....I'll give it a try as is.
