I have a Solvit HoundAbout trailer for my 85 lb lab. Not knowing whether
he'd take to it or not, I didn't want to spend a ton of money on it, and
this one was a decent price while being big enough for my dog. He has done
great in it and really seems to enjoy it. Definitely need a rear fender,
and caution when turning. I do have him leashed in.

As you can imagine, an 85 lb lab will do just about anything for a treat,
so getting him in it was not an issue at all. I've done it enough now that
I can manage getting him in the trailer, secured and zipped in by myself.

The only potential issue I see is if he gets to the point physically (he's
11 now) where he can't or won't climb into the back of the trailer, at
which point a flat bed of some sort might be a better option.

I stay on trails and flat roads, as hauling dog + trailer is quite a
workout but I love being able to bring him along. Also, nothing too speedy
because there are no fast stops with that behind me.

Good luck and let us know what you end up doing!
