Steve, I wonder if we passed each other? We got on the towpath at Fletcher's about 1:15p. Before the blue sky, it looked like it would rain. As we left Bethesda, I thought it would rain. I was pleasantly surprised as the clouds slowly departed. The large group was still at Great Falls when we left about 3:15pm. I didn't stop to inquire and wish I had. I was pleased to see at least 3 different volunteer bike "ambassadors" (forgotten their official title) riding on the trail. Thanks for the alternate route. All the best, Erl
