Aye, Brian. I was contemplating on today’s ride how my average pace hasn’t
changed much, but I’m decidedly faster in some places and decidedly slower in
others (down hills). It’s fun to take it slowish down a hill that has a climb
after and release to gain momentum for the climb ahead. Slower yet faster.
Grin. It’s also wonderful having the whole handlebar open to use on descents
(unless they are steeper than backpedal braking will handle) instead of having
to be in the hoods for the brakes.

With abandon,
Patrick
