Thanks, I didn't know about that option. I've given up on Strava for the winter, because my phone's battery inevitably poops out (from cold) before the end of a ride regardless of whether it's running any apps or not.
P.S. I do have an iPhone6 that is covered under the discounted battery replacement. But, I'm a couple hours' drive from the nearest Apple store, so I haven't gone through with the replacement yet.
