Note that Brooks, who know a thing or two about saddles, provide saddle 
loops on the saddle, above the springs. The Brooks springs on Flyers. 
B66s, B-67s and B-73s are very, very, very stiff and don't really move 
much. I am very overweight (obese) and if the springs are going to 
compress, they will compress for me. I just attach my bags to the normal 
saddle loops and never think about it again. I think you may be 
overthinking - imagining a problem that really doesn't exist - seems to be 
a common thing around here......
