Sweet, Austin! I love the Albastache in blue. Well done. Isn’t the flow of those bars delightful on the descent (and the climb too, but less so for the slower speeds). The feel of picking your line, not thinking but just looking, and riding a rail that magically appears on that line. You’ll know you’ve gone full nutter when the climb is as much a reward as the top or the descent. Grin.
I gave up trying to figure where the line for underbiking is. As you alude to, people ride absurd bikes on rides they don’t need them. Besides, many are “sponsored” riders, and my goals are different (have fun), though I’m always surprised how many I pass along the way. Bike skills matter far more than the perfect gear for a limited use. They can’t ride their bike to the trail easily, but I do, and then I ride the trail and enjoy the whole thing. Grin. Isn’t the change in altitude wondrous? Especially on the cusp between seasons. Keep enjoying the ride!
