I always draw a schematic of my panniers and where everything is packed before taking off on a tour. And then I end up packing it away somewhere and forgetting where it is until the end of the ride.
BTW Bill, I was up on the Route just south of the Wyoming border about a week and a half ago. It was hot. And I'm from Tucson. It was hot. Mr. Sun was pretty intense at that high elevation and it didn't get chilly at night. All I needed was a wool T and vest.
