Made in Taiwan. Seat lug is ball & socket so it costs less. It allows them to do a 6 degree slope. So less variations of lugs to carry in inventory. Also allows less sizes to fit over more ranges. I believe bottom bracket is filet brazes so no bottom bracket lugs needed.
