Thanks, Andy and Lum. Andy, one of the ways I estimate temperature is the sound of the snow underfoot. I’m not a sound engineer, so I’m unsure of the technical way to describe it, but the “sparklier” it is the colder it is. -20˚F sounds very different from -10, 0, 10, 20, and 30. When I’m able to confirm with a thermometer, I’m accurate to the closest five degrees.
