I bought a C19 after I saw Riv sales were slow, mainly because I'm commuting in the rain, and although I have a "waterproof" seat cover, it really isn't that waterproof, and the leather seat gets quite damp. My first impressions of the C19 are that it isn't too wide, (I ride on a bike with drops), but I prefer wider saddles--I have a Brooks swift, and I prefer wider saddles than the Swift.
Anyhow, it is colder than my leather saddle, and it is a bid harder than my broken in leather saddle, but no harder than a new Brooks... It will do fine for my rainy commuter bike setup. If I had a choice, then I would probably go with a slotted version, but I don't know if a slotted C19 exists.
