Patrick, I rode the Maxxis Ikon 29 x 2.2 on thhe Great  Divide and was
impressed with the tires. Not noisy on pavement and rolled very well, a few
flats but not often enough to be a bother. Would ride them again if I used
that size wheel. Perhaps not quite as fast as the Thunderburt but close.
Mine were very close to the labeled size. Also close in suppleness. Steve
