I am running 33.33 Jack Browns on my Ram w/the 45mm stainless Velo Orange fenders which is tight but do-able. Before doing this I added the Rivendell Silver brakes without which this set-up would never have worked. There are several other brakes which have this amount of fender clearance but the Silvers looked great and had the kwikstop pads which also make a difference. I had to dremel a slot for the rear fender bracket which I mounted underneath the fender (clipping off the ends and JB Weld-ing it under the curve of the fender). Rear end works really well. The front end is tight and the trick is to find the right amount of bolt tightness underneath the fork. After an hour or so of tweaking it all fits and looks good. Downsides: I often get a little fender rub noise on the front end as I hit the front brakes but not enough to bother me. These fenders have an unusual mount on the back which can cause them the shift or rattle. I counter by wrapping the rear block with the Riv hemp twine handlebar wrap which looks OK and keeps most bumps from shifting the fender-line. I still check them every time I get back on the bike to ensure there is no rub. The fenders are also 6oz heavier than their aluminum counterpart. A lot of people stop to ask me about the fenders. It does complement the Riv silver aesthetic and offers a different look from the hammered honjos. http://www.velo-orange.com/vo45ststfe.html
