Hello Ash - Samuel P Taylor is a great place for kids. The Cross Marin
Trail runs right through it, and is a 3-4 mile stretch of perfect, flat
bike path through the redwoods. It runs right along Lagunitas Creek the
whole way, with many opportunities for playing in the creek and checking
stuff out. Plus a couple of great, short hikes as well.

As far as other kid-friendly riding, I think the pickings are rather slim,
but there are some cool options in Pt Reyes...one idea is driving out to
the Pt Reyes visitors center and ride out the Bear Valley Trail...probably
3 miles of wide fire road, then you gotta lock the bikes and walk the rest
of the way to the ocean. Actually, that is a pretty fun outing...the ocean
view is splendid from the bluffs, but there is no beach access.

Another idea is to park at the hostel near the end of Limantour Road and
ride the 2.5 miles of dirt road out to Coast Camp...great beach access
there, along with creeks running into the ocean...generally very kid
friendly.

Both spots are only a short drive from SPT.
