Personally I think the feature is of limited benefit. I did a couple rides on my previous Quickbeam where I stopped to change gears, and it's kind of a hassle over just standing up and climbing that hill.
It requires using a QR which you want to really jam tight in a horizontal dropout, so you have to pry that sucker loose (ow), then recenter and jam real tight again (ow ow ow), and it ends up being way more work than the hill would have been.
