Oops, sorry, have not been back on here since this morning. The finish on the bars is not super shiny, although not dull, per the photos Garth shows. Just like Kai, I don't notice the a sparkly, maybe because I am not sensitive to it. It is cloudy today and tomorrow so I cannot try it in sunlight to check for that effect. If it were me I don't think I would try to remove the finish though, the underlying welds might then be a bit more shiny and reflective. If it becomes bothersome maybe a quick wrap of black tape there would disguise the issue, effective but not very pretty. Or maybe a little clear scotch tape that would be less noticeable but would take out the reflection.
