Patrick:

Not an expert, but I’ve seen rattlers, and I don’t think that is one. Rattlers 
are fatter and have a more distinctive pattern in heir backs. Their heads are 
quite wide and flat. And one that long would have had rattles. 

Any snake experts out there?
