There is always a buzz of excitement when RBW introduces some new thing. Models come and go regularly. As GP notes, Platypus is the 4th Mixte model they’ve rolled out. (Wilbury/Glorius, Betty Foy/Yves Gomez, Cheviot are the others). When the idea of extending the top tube as chain stays or adding stays to a middle tube (think Hunqapillar) was first suggested, RBW wasn’t sure if they liked it and asked for opinion. I think the decision to adopt it has resulted in a string of nice looking frames. Really though, ALL their frames have been nice looking and nice riding too. Looks like they’re sold out of all models of their bikes at the moment.
