Hi Folks, After a great deal of deliberation, discussions with family and friends, and much hand wringing, I've decided to list our Hubbuhubbuh Tandem. This is my all-time favorite ride, but our lives and family have changed and alas, it is time to let it go. The bike rides like a dream, is so much fun to ride and quite suitable for road, gravel, bike paths, and even some off road single track. A very adaptable ride.
A bit of info about the bike: --It's a lovely sage green, size L/M. It will (and has) accommodate a very wide range of riders from 6'9" to 5'1". The captain should be on the taller side (6' and taller) while the stoker should be between 5'1" and 6'1". I am happy to take specific measurements as is helpful, just let me know. --Very easy use at under 150 miles, in Excellent condition & could be sold as new --Asking $2650--Possibly open to offers including, a trade/cash deal for an entry level Rivendell (such as a Clem L, etc) or other bike suitable for a casual 5'9 rider Drive-train --Silver cranks both captain and stoker --Shimano Deore derailleurs with 3 x 9 gearing --Currently set up with friction shifters, which is my preference, but I may have indexed shifters if preferred Brakes --Avid brake levers with Shimano V-brakes. The rear hub will also accommodate a 203 mm disc drag brake Tires & Wheelset 27.5" Strong and durable, high spoke count (Cliff hangers?) rims with Velocity hubs and Continental Double Fighter 27.5 x 2.0 tires. Note: the 27.5 wheels on this tandem make it feel surprisingly playful verses 29" wheels.
