Nothing wrong with riding and enjoying a pretty bike. When someone tries to convince me to get a carbon bike, I always want to say that life is to short to ride an ugly bike, but I don't because that would be putting down their bike, so instead I just say that I am too heavy to ride a plastic bike.
I spend way too much time looking at my bikes. 40+ years ago, when I rode my Masi to work and kept it in my office; I would sometimes just sit at the desk and look at it.
