The go-to tire for a lot of folks riding gravel these days is a "hybrid". Personally, I switched from my regular 32mm road tires to 35mm Bontrager Connection Hybrids for riding on the limestone tailing trails around my neck of the woods once they dry out and become loose and dusty gravel (as they have this year, way too early thanks to regional droughts). But you can get "hybrid" tires in various widths so that's what I'd recommend installing on your bike if it's being ridden on gravel.
