Segueing off Leah's thread: can anyone recommend a 44 to 48 mm tire as or
almost as light and supple as the RH Snoqualmie Pass Extralight? For the
1st Matthews, pavement, gravel, and sand. I don't need not stinking knobs,
but will be happy to entertain their suggestion if the tire is ditto as
above.

I'll be especially interested in any Schwalbe tires ditto as above since my
experience with 2 models of EL Schwalbes and 2 models of EL RHs leaves the
contest neck-and-neck, with Schwalbe perhaps having a slight edge.

Since the newly Hover-barred Monocog is now so much nicer to ride, I will
happily let it take the place of the #1 Monocog for sandier rides, thus for
the Monocog I can lose some sand float for the sake of more crisp pavement
cornering.

Thanks.
