I  have a lovely 2003 Rivendell Custom. 

In its first iteration, I put Mavic Ksyriums on it.

Admiittedly, it looks better without the Ksyriums -

but I was happy riding them for a while, the bike still road great.  I got 
some funny looks but kept going.
