Yes, a bit easier to set up because you tighten the cable with an allen wrench, a little easier to snug up the cable initially. I like the curve action on the straddle cable, it does not bind on the cable groove like what happens, sometimes, with the traditional Dia Compe straddle hanger. Plus, you can get them in various colors and they are good bike bling gifts to your riding buddies.
