The BL cranksets are made by Andel for them. Someone posted on bikeforums
photos of them with the box and packaging and as I suspected it was all the
same as what I received from Andel direct when I ordered some RSC6 triples
w/o rings a few years ago. While I too think they are superior to XD's
because they are stiffer/thicker and have a regular bolt pattern, they
don't qualify as sleeker or lighter ! With a 115mm BB the tread width is
about 169-170mm. BL's suggestion of a 122mm BB is too wide though. I use a
115mm cartridge plus a 2mm DS spacer on my Bombadil for a 45-46mm
chainline.

They also go by the name of Dimension Cross cranks in black, sold in the
USA.

The path of least resistance is to get a set of the New Albion 170's for
$28 from the Soma sale through Oct. 22.
